The West Somerset Methodist Circuit
Within our circuit, we strive to not only grow as Christians, becoming the best versions of ourselves that we can be but also to grow God’s love in our local communities with outreach work and ecumenical work (this means joining together with different churches who worship differently such as: the Catholic, Baptist, Church of England, United Reformed Church and so on), to care for those less fortunate and aid those in need.
As such we have come up with our ‘Circuit Vision’ which is the heading under which we shall focus our work. As you will see on our home page, this vision is: ‘Growing Together.’
Each of our churches runs groups and clubs designed to create a welcome and safe space for anyone who needs it, from the toddler group, Little Fishes, at Minehead Methodist to groups that cater for the more isolated and lonely in our area such as The Friendship Centre at Alcombe Methodist; from the Quantock Foodbank that operates out of space at Watchet Methodist Church to providing alternative worship with a live band at Porlock Methodist Church.
