Porlock Methodist Church Celebrates its 96th Anniversary!

Opportunities for fellowship are a constant at Porlock Methodist Church – from our regular fellowship group (Growing in Faith Together), to spending time with one another over refreshments after our morning services.

Thanks to our skilful cake-maker, Chris de Vere Hunt, our tradition is to mark significant occasions in the life of Porlock Methodist Church with cake. In July we marked the 96th anniversary of our Chapel, and on 27th August at the “Celebrate” service we found another reason for celebratory refreshments.

At the Celebrate services, members of all denominations gather to worship together (even months of the year at Porlock Methodist Church, odd months at St Dubricius). At our August service Rev Alison Tolson, new curate at St Dubricius took part in her first Celebrate service at Porlock Methodist Church, and we were delighted to welcome our new Circuit Superintendent, Rev Andy Day, and his son, Reuben.
