The Journey is an evening of prayer and contemporary praise and worship for everyone; held at Porlock Methodist Church on the last Sunday of each month – 7pm to 8.30pm.

We started The Journey, Exmoor Prayer and Praise in September 2022 in Porlock Methodist Church. Our heart is to worship God in a more contemporary way, to praise God, singing the latest worship songs, to pray and to give space to listen to God. Our numbers are growing and we have been so encouraged each month by each and every person who has come. Every month so far, the number of people attending has increased.

In February, there were 37 people, who came from all over Exmoor. The Journey has become a regular focus for

Worship and fellowship, for people who have not found a church home and for those who are committed elsewhere and just want to come and spend time with God. The Journey has also unexpectedly attracted a few very welcome people, who would say they have no church or faith connections. We also have a small group of children who attend and we have an activity for them, based on our theme for the service. It is a joy to see them engaged and enjoying being in church. We have a committed Journey team, who make it all happen on the night. We are so grateful for the funding we have received from The Circuit, that has enabled us to equip the church with two large and one mobile TV screens and various pieces of equipment for the musicians to improve and enhance our worship sound. Everyone is welcome. We meet on the last Sunday of each month at 7pm. It continues to be an amazing Journey. We would love you to join with us.
